Praising God

Good morning everyone. How are you this morning? Did you feel like praising God as you woke up this morning? To be honest, I didn’t. I looked at my wife and we said it’s too early. Reset the alarm. Praising God wasn’t in our minds. But as I laid there, this verse came to me. Praise, give Him praise, give Him praise in the Highest. I’ll give Him praise everywhere. When our bodies don’t feel like it. When our minds are empty of everything. The Holy Spirit says, “Get up and praise the Lord”! Yep. He aroused us from our laziness. From our desire to let go of everything and fall back to sleep. It’s time to Praise the Lord! How often do we do that? When we don’t want to face the world yet. When these old bodies feel the ache of yesterday’s struggles. Tired. Sore. The bed is so comfortable. I’ll just lay here a little longer. But the Spirit says, Get up and praise the Lord! You have things to do today, but you’re gonna start it out with praising God. It’s the middle of the work week, but you’re retired. Why get up? Get up everyday and start your day with praising the Lord. What have you got that you need to praise the Lord for? Everything! I can move. I am warm. I am fed. I can breathe. I can stand. I am clothed in His righteousness! I am bathed in His love. I have drowned in His mercies and His grace. He has given me life to the full, so praise Him to the fullest. With all the capacity that you have within you, Praise His Holy Name. Shout it from the mountain tops. Cry out in the valleys. He is my Lord. Jesus is my Master and Savior. The Holy Spirit fills me with praise! Food for thought. God bless.
