Weekly Devotional: Unprayed for Problems

The problem is all the UNPRAYED for problems.

Philippians 4:4-7. "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again. Rejoice! Let
your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about
anything but pray about everything. With thanksgiving present your requests
to God. And the peace of God will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus."

I have shared this scripture so many times with others. ( I need to share it with
myself) We must take All of our issues to HIM. Taking our issues to the bar
won't work. Jim Beam can't solve them. Turning to drugs won’t will dull the
pain but NOT remove it. Taking your problems out on others will not work
either--temper tantrums never help ease the stress. The very moment you
sense ANY problem you need to take it to CHRIST. Let me say it again... ANY
PROBLEM. Yes that means you will be on God's frequent call list. This is true
for any problem. You don't know me, but I never raise my voice. Yes, that is
true-or it used to be. This past week I was dealing with a stressful financial
situation and my husband was trying to help find a solution. I actually raised
my voice to him a few times. ( you may say—so what’s the big deal-you lost
your temper) This is NOT me. But it is the devil. I didn't not do what I had just
shared with a friend of mine the day before---take it to GOD. I allowed the
devil to steal my joy. This is one of the things that will get my attention--
stealing my joy. I took a breath, realized what I had done and apologized--first
to God then to my husband. My problem is I chose to find my own solution
and I did NOT do what I know I MUST do to keep my peace—what the bible
says. So what are you dealing with? Drugs, alcohol, temper, fear, insecurity,
anger? Doesn't matter. He understand the thorns in your life. Don’t allow those
thorns to fester. Take your problems to the guy with the tweezers. He has
experience with thorns. Big or small take it to HIM and don't forget to thank
HIM while you are on your knees. He gives us the peace that surpasses all
understanding. That peace is what I crave, only HE can give. How about you?
How would that peace feel about now?
